Acer’s newly introduced Timeline Ultra M5 Ultrabooks will be available for purchase tentatively by this month end. The new laptop models have high end specifications along with some killer features.
The new line of Ultrabook with a razor thin look comes with a new lightweight design and supports Intel Ivy Bridge power and Nvidia graphics.
New M5-481T-6670 model is a 14-inch laptop which features LED-backlit 1,366×768 screen, 1.5GHz Core i3-2377M Sandy Bridge Processor, 6GB of RAM and weighs 4.3-pound. However M5-481TG-6814 model has similar screen size but comes with 2.6GHz Core i5-3317U Ivy Bridge CPU and GeForce GT640M LE graphics and 4GB of RAM.
The M5-581TG-6666 comes with 15.6 inch screen retaining the Ivy Bridge processor and GeForce graphics similar to M5-481TG-6814 but there is 6 GB RAM available in the laptop. Common features in all the three models include 500GB hard drives, 20GB solid state drives,1.3-megapixel webcam, two USB 3.0 drives, a DVD drive, and both Intel and Acer anti-theft technology. The M5′s PowerSmart provides 8 hour battery life support. And it’s anti-theft features allows laptops to be disabled in case of theft, and to be enabled when found. Also the laptops can be upgradable to Windows 8 operating system.
When it comes to pricing, M5-481T-6670 starts at $679.99, M5-581TG-6666 is priced at $829.99 and M5-481TG-6814 can be brought for $779.99.
