Motorola Droid Razr HD, which is currently lined up for a launch, has turned out be one of the hot topics among smartphone enthusiasts. Without question, the super specs handset packs double the power in many aspects when compared to Apple iPhone 4S.
The specs, confirmed through few recent leaks, is the new member of Razr series with HD back up and is expected to power its way into the handset market.
The new smartphone from Motorola will have a 13-megapixel camera which is quite rarely found in other handsets. iPhone 4S is nowhere in comparison with its 8-megapixel camera. Also the device from Motorola sports a 4.5-inch 720p HD screen with 1196×720 resolution display which again pale’s iPhone 4S’s 3.5-inch 640 x 960 pixels resolution screen.
With Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU and 1 GB RAM support, the handset would work almost double the speed of Apple’s handset which comes with dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor. Notably, most dual-core handsets support 4G LTE very well. Hence the addition of the processor in Droid Razr HD, even though there are high powered quad-core phones in the market.
And more importantly, it packs one of the biggest battery support a handset can get, that is 3100mAh perfectly blending in with LTE power usage. Generally battery life of many smartphones have become a big concern of late, however Motorola which introduced Droid RAZR MAXX with a big 3,300 mAh battery has found to be consumer’s choice topping the Verizon’s charts and displacing iPhone 4S. Similar trend is expected to be followed with the launch of Motorola Droid Razr HD. Also, there is latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system inside the handset.
Motorola is just watching and waiting to see the Samsung Galaxy S3 storm slide down before unveiling the new smartphone. However, information surrounding the handset’s release speculate it may come anytime this summer. Going by the specs, Motorola Droid Razr HD may see a price tag similar to that of Droid Razr MAXX.
