Eagerly waiting to see the Jelly Bean update on your Samsung Galaxy S3 device? There is an announcement on the official Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update to be released for the Korean giant’s flagship device in few days.
According to sources, the Jelly Bean update will be released after the Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29. The date is when Samsung is to release the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 2.
Popular Android news website ‘Android Central’ claimed that Samsung is getting ready to update the Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 next week after the Unpacked event at IFA 2012.
Apparently, it would be the international Samsung Galaxy S3 models that will first receive the update. It is not yet confirmed if the LTE-capable Galaxy S3 variants in USA and Canada will be getting their update.
Android 4.1 is touted to be the fastest and smoothest version of Android yet. Moving between home screens and switching between apps is effortless, and it features a new and improved touch keyboard with better predictive capabilities and a new notification system.
Jelly Bean being made available for Galaxy S3 users is surely a much needed action. Samsung has sold more than 10 million units of its popular Galaxy S3 smartphone which was introduced on May 30.
Website SamMobile recently received a pre-release version of the Galaxy S3′s Jelly Bean update. The leaked ROM have been uploaded onto their website for download.
Meanwhile, besides Galaxy S3 the Jelly Bean will also reportedly be rolled out to Galaxy Note devices. The upcoming Galaxy Note 2 might be running Jelly Bean at its release.
