A while ago there were reports on HTC planning to introduce their own 5-inch range phablet sized device. There were however no preliminary rumored specification to determine what the device would have. Now there are confirmed reports about HTC Endeavour C2 with few of its predicted specs similar to that of Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
The new rumored HTC Endeavour C2 is expected to have 5-inch 1794 × 1080 resolution screen. That would be quite an achievment as the original Galaxy Note had 5.3-inch had 1280 x 800 pixels resolution while Galaxy Note 2 is expected to retain same resolution but will have a 5.5-inch display.
In fact there was a device with HTC 6435LVW model number featuring 1794 x 1080 resolution and a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 processor with an Adreno 320 GPU which clocked at 1.5Ghz in GLBenchmarks as of late. All the more, the Egypt Offscreen 720p test revealed that the device scored 13,685 bettering both the AT&T HTC One X and International Samsung Galaxy S3 few weeks ago. Speaking of the device, it should be a full 1920 x 1080 panel, omitting some space for Android’s onscreen navigation buttons, courtesy DigiTimes. Apart from Android OS even Windows 8 can be accomodated due to the support of S4 CPU. ClearVoice technology and HTC Watch 2 is in place to enhance audio and video quality while higher battery capacity, HTC Sense 4.1 and Beats Audio technology are other possible upgrades.
Adding to it, there are new rumors pointing to a device being prepared with quad-core 1.7 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor headed to T-Mobile as reported by TmoNews. Several leaked documents reveal that it is slated for September release and technology blogs are dearly calling it HTC One X+. If September is the possible date, then expect the device to come with Android Jelly Bean OS as well and if the device is designed similar to HTC One X, consumers can use same accessories of One X on the upcoming handset. At this juncture nothing is very clear but surely there are quite a few devices being prepared by HTC to throw up a new challenge to Samsung and other mobile vendors.
Getting back to Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the device is said to be featuring quad-core Exynos 4412 clocking at 1.6 GHz while other internal features are expected to resemble to that of initial version. But the design of the device may be inspired by Galaxy S3, as the recent image leaks in Facebook page indicates. And the 5.5-inch screen could sport flexible screen to give more space for bigger battery due to the thinness option the bendable display offers. Other possible features are 2 GB RAM and Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Samsung Galaxy Note could be unveiled in August 29 and is expected to go on sale around mid September.
