Android enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the Jelly Bean update to arrive on their devices. The latest and updated version of Android 4.1 has been already confirmed by few manufacturers. There are still many to announce the Jelly Bean update. However, here is a look at few of the devices officially confirmed as well as rumored for the Android OS update.
HTC One Series:
HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S will reportedly receive the Jelly Bean OS, as reported by Jeff Gordon, HTC’s Global Online Communications Manager. The US version of HTC One X comes with dual-core processor for 4G LTE compatibility while the international variant packs a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor.
Asus devices like ASUS Transformer Pad, ASUS Transformer Pad Prime and ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity are all scheduled to receive Android 4.1 update in the coming months.
Google Nexus 7 was already launched with Jelly Bean. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Nexus S can be updated to Android 4.1.
Acer officials have confirmed that “the company’s tablets will be updated to Android 4.1″. Expect Android 4.0 powered devices like Iconia Tab series A110, A200, A510, A500, A700 to receive the update.
Motorola has rolled out Android 4.1 for their XOOM tablet but there is no word on when the smartphone line will get the new OS.

Sammobile has published a report informing that the Galaxy line smartphones are expected to receive the Jelly Bean in days to come. Reports show that Galaxy S3 has passed the firmware tests and Samsung is working on a public version of the device. The company is waiting for Google to approve the update before it is rolled out to the phone.
Samsung is also scheduled to deliver the update to Galaxy S2. Jelly Bean is already being tested on the device. Sammobile reports that even if Samsung changes their mind of not updating Galaxy S2, the phone will still get a value pack update. As for Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the Jelly Bean update will be available a couple of months later after the device is launched.
LG’s response for latest OS platform was - “we cannot confirm which devices will receive these updates however we will always continue to support the latest Android platforms on LG devices.”
LG’s Optimus L7, Optimus 3D Max and Optimus 4X HD is rumored to receive Android 4.1. But Jelly Bean update will be reaching LG devices only by Q1 2013.
Meanwhile, Sony has just hinted that there is possibility of an upgrade as they are looking into phones which can receive the new OS. The devices which come with Android 4.0 and above is expected to be upgraded.
According to Sony blog, “a local spokesperson gave information out in error on our Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software development and rollout for 2011 Xperia smartphones…..We are actively investigating Android OS upgrades for all devices, but in the meantime, our Ice Cream Sandwich rollout for Xperia S and 2011 Xperia smartphones continues as planned.”
HTC device that are to receive the Jelly Bean include HTC EVO 4G LTE, HTC Rezound and HTC Sensation 4G as their high-end hardware can support it to function well. Even few of HTC’s devices when ported with CM10 JB ROM worked well. This hints at a possible upgrade.
Motorola Mobility has not yet confirmed about which device will receive the Jelly Bean. Devices like Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE, Atrix HD, Droid Razr Maxx and other Razr lines series have latest hardware to support the new Android operating system.
