Casio’s New HIGH-SPEED EXILIM EX-FH25 & EX-FC150 Digital Cameras

Casio is introducing new HIGH-SPEED EXILIM EX-FH25 and EX-FC150 digital cameras in Japan.

Both camera’s are equipped with a 10 Megapixel backlit CMOS image sensor and are capable of 1000fps high speed shooting (but at 224×64 resolution).

EXILIM EX-FH25 is a ultra zoom camera with a 20x long zoom lens, 26mm wide angle and a 3-inch LCD display

EX-FC150 features 5x optical zoom and 2.7-inch LCD screen.

And additonally both these camera’s have sensor-shift image stabilization, 30fps 720p HD video recording capability, ISO up to 3200, 85.9MB internal memory and a SD/SDHC card slot.

Though EXILIM EX-FH25 comes in Black only, while Casio EX-FC150 comes in Gold, Black and Red.

Price: EXILIM EX-FH25 is priced at 50,000 Yen ($579), EX-FC150 is priced at 40,000 Yen ($463).

Leica Camera AG showcases their new special limited edition of its classic 35mm rangefinder system camera.

The strictly limited LEICA M7 Edition ‘Hermès’ comes in silver chrome with a choice of two striking calfskin leather finishes – orange and étoupe – supplied by Hermès.

Just 100 of each colour will be made available, and each individual camera will have a special sequential serial number between 001/200 and 200/200.

LEICA M7 Edition ‘Hermès’ set includes a silver anodised LEICA SUMMILUX-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. wide-angle lens, a matching classic round lens hood in silver anodised metal – manufactured specifically for these models – and a LEICAVIT M rapid winder in silver chrome. The camera’s intelligent design is constructed with a resin cover to protect the body side near the shutter and a resin lens ring to protect the lens.

From up to 10 feet deep, the camera can be used for 60 minutes under water. Water will not penetrate the camera even when directly sprayed with jets of water from every direction corresponding to Protection Class 6 (IPX6). Capable of withstanding temperatures as low as 14°F*6, Casio’s EX-G1 boldly captures images where any adventurer goes.

Capture Raw Images With Release Of Adobe Lightroom 2.6 & Camera Raw 5.6 Betas

Adobe releases beta software specially to support raw images for new compact cameras which are used for high end use only. The software updates are betas of Lightroom 2.6, the Camera Raw 5.6 plug-in for Photoshop CS4, and the DNG Converter 5.6. All the software uses the same raw-image processing engine.

An error has been corrected in Lightroom 2.5 and Camera Raw 5.5 with the new release. The error could mar images from some Sony, Olympus, and Panasonic and from various medium format digital camera backs.

Canon EOS 7D Firmware Update Version 1.1.0

Canon EOS 7D firmware update promises correction in ghosting phenomenon.

Firmware Version 1.1.0 has incorporated the following fixes:

Corrects a phenomenon that in images captured by continuous shooting and under certain conditions, barely noticeable trace of the immediately preceding frame may be visible.

Firmware Versuib 1.1.0 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.0.9. If the camera’s firmware is already version 1.1.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

New Phase One 645DF Camera With Sync Speed Up To 1/1600

Phase One, a company specialized in medium format camera systems has introduced PHASE ONE 645DF. The Camera ha a high flash sync speeds up to 1/1600 of a second.

Along with the camera, new lenses of 55mm, 80mm and 110mm, all f/2.8 and all designed with the Phase One 645DF camera in mind. The lenses have been made with the help of Mamiya Digital Imaging and Schneider Kreuznach.

There is support for both focal plane and leaf shutters. Improved auto focus speed gives photographers up to 5 times faster performance in a typical fashion set up. There is new tactile buttons, a fully sealed eye-cup eliminating ambient light, improved viewfinder masks and customizable audio feedback.

Price: Phase One 645DF camera body costs at $5990 is expected to ship Q4, 2009. Leaf shutter lenses starts at $2490

Tachyon has brought out the XC and XC 3D helmet cameras. XC is a standalone camera and the XC 3D records simultaneously.

90 degrees Wide Angle – the sweet spot of normal human vision. Larger angles will capture more image, but with added distortion and reduced degree-per pixel resolution.

The Camera has SD/SDHC memory cards upto 32 GB and has shock proofing, waterproofing, withstands temperature ranges and Name-Brand Alkaline Batteries will give you around 2:45 (Energizer) – 3:10 (Duracell) hours of recording time, but much less in cold weather. So do NOT use these in the cold.
