Here is a story that truly deserves a star.
A pig in southwest China was rescued after 36 days buried in earthquake rubble and eating charcoal to survive, according to the Chongqing Evening Post.
My eyes was with tears..as I read the report..which said, a family while searching their household belongings saw the struggling pig and led it to safety. While food was later being offered to the pig, the couples saw tears rolling from the eyes of the pig.
“It didn’t look like a pig at all when it was saved. It was as thin as a goat!” a witness told Xinhua, the state news agency.
The pig, who weighed nearly 330lbs at the time of the earthquake on May 12, had lost two-thirds of its weight when found
Surprisingly, a museum in the town offered to buy the pig for £218. Museum authorities naming the pig, “Zhu Jianqiang” which means “strong pig” said, “This pig is truly the symbol of Chinese people. It represents Chinese hard work and endurance on any circumstances.”
And yes, My heartfelt condolences with the 88,000 people who were left dead or missing following the quake.
