Desk Topmost See Your Desktop Floating

Posted on 08 June 2009

This one is for Windows. You can access your desktop through Desk Topmost, it pulls up your desktop for quick file access.

How does it work?

Desk Topmost, when activated via hotkey, floats your desktop over your existing windows so you can access any folders or shortcuts you have there.

Use the keyboard shortcut “Win+D” or press the “Show Desktop” button in the Quick Launch Bar to access desktop, but unfortunately it isn’t very convenient: If you like to keep 20+ programs running at the same time, the progress will take a few seconds. What’s worse, you can’t come back to the previous window instantly after running a program or opening a document from the desktop, you have to look for it in the taskbar and your train of thought is often interrupted.

Desk Topmost solves this in a different way: It will let the desktop float on the top instead of minimizing all the windows. It’s 100% clean and FREE!

And if you are having hotkey utilities, you just need to download the following exe file and assign a keyboard shortcut to it.

For Windows 2000, Xp, 2003 users:====>DeskTopmost_Xp.exe
For Windows Vista, 2008, 7 users:=====>DeskTopmost_Vista.exe
Otherwise please download the full install file:=====>Setup.exe

  • Right click to hide Desk Topmost if you don’t start any program from it.
