One of the man I love to hear talk on spirituality is Dinesh D Souza. His debates, messages, articles, books dont contain abstract texts or volatile theology you read elsewhere.
His points are ruminating and cerebral. In the Atheist world, he is an inextricable person who can tie the burgeoning power of Atheism. He aint a quipped pundit but for sure is a maven at topics he know.
Came across this young man, some months back. Was really surprised by his audacity to tackle the Atheists like Christopher Hitchens and others, who for sure make a point. I went through some excerpts of his book, Whats so great about Christianity. It debunks Atheism, and has been a very enlightening book to me.
While Christianity was the main stream religion in many countries like the USA, Europe and others, there is the weeds that grow with the seeds, just like what Jesus explained. Its the atheists, who can pull your belief and make it null. Their questions, reasoning, power of comprehending seems great, while it is not.
Christopher for example has launched a detailed criticism of religion in his book God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything. Hitchens says religion is “violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism, tribalism, and bigotry, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children.”
Hitchens in many terms might sound great, while I feel, its another great man, who stand for another one year in the long run of history and Christianity, and then be invisible. Who are those who remain? It will be the true followers of Jesus Christ.
I saw the debate between Dinesh and Hitchens. Was really astonished by the wealth of knowledge Dinesh contains. Back in Mumbai, finishing his high school, Dinesh wanted to pursue the American dream. He continued his studies and today is one of the well known conservative thinkers in America.
I wonder how an Indian can make such an impact in the country, where exists great people, poets, writers…
Dinesh not only defends Christianity, but also exhorts people to follow the Bible and life of Jesus Christ. “Religion is good and eventhough controls people, integrates peace.”
Athiests do not have answers for various questions like the design of creation, systematic appearance of world, and many others..which befuddle them.
Dinesh in the debate said, If Christianity wouldn’t have existed, much of the world would have been in chaos. Evil would have been at its peak. In fact truly, I am another thankful Indian like Dinesh who is thankful for being a follower of Jesus and tasting the life of Cross.
I encourage you to purchase a copy of Whats so great about Christianity, which is one of the bestsellers in Amazon.
