I-Ball Camera from Dreampact Can be Shot-Up In Mid-Air To Get Steady Shot

Posted on 19 November 2008

How about tossing a camera in the mid air and then being able to take photoshots. Yea thats exactly a new launchable, wireless projectile camera from Scotland is going to do.

It will give troops 360 degree, high-quality, real-time video coverage whether in flight or rolling on the floor.

This new Camera may be called I-Ball. According to creator Edinburgh-based company Dreampact, this Camera can be tossed in a room, fired from a grenade Launcher or even a mortar and to speak its advanced image stabilization technology will still deliver a stead picture and easy to see “high-value” video.

What will this look like and its size?

It may have the size of a grenade and will allow the redcoats to have a quick peek before entering a room or cresting a ridge.

The I-Ball won Britain’s Ministry of Defence’s Competition of Ideas contest.

I-Ball demo model is readily adaptable to wireless networks and one more advangtage of this technology is that, if thrown somewhere, “You can pull it out again”, as per Paul Thompson, an engineer at Dreampact.
