Requiem Bloodymare is an online game Launched by MMORPG South Korean studio gravity. The game is full of blood, gory and violence. If you want the most horrible nightmares come alive, then play this scary online game.
Monsters roam the lands and you paint the landscape with their blood as you kill them. There are some nasty little (and big) critters roaming the lands in the day, but the special Nightmare mobs come out at night. The landscape actually changes as between set hours. The mobs change and become nastier. Some quests will even change in the Nightmare hours. Turn a corner and you run into a fat little cherub with oversized baby head, little bitty wings, a spiky barb-wire halo and multi-bladed staff or your nightmare “Santa’s Reindeer” and the like. They all take you down like they were lawnmowers and you a spindly dandelion daring to rear your head up from the grass.
The big thing that Requiem has is the DNA modeling system which allows your character to begin tweaking their own DNA for taking advantages of strengths and weaknesses. Its an unusual idea that actually works pretty well fleshed out. The other thing Requiem has going for it is the acquired ability to transform into a beast. After completing the possesion beast ability quest you can transform into your own walking nightmare of death and destruction at random opportune times.
While teaming up with other real-time players is a must to complete big quests, others will be happy to know there is a combat arena where 4-on-4 up to 16-on-16 can compete in coliseum-style battles for honor and really good equipment. Sooner or later you will be asked to come jump in the arena, this is the next big portion of the game’s multiplayer capability. I thought it was an inventive and decent way to keep things going.
The three races in this online-game are:
- Turan, the most human and most ‘balanced’ of the three. Turan classes are Templars or Defenders.
- Bartuk, a brutish race known for high strength and endurance. Bartuk classes are Warriors or Shamans.
- Kruxena, resembling vampires and are somewhat uncooperative. They are physically and mentally superior to the other two races. Kruxena classes are Rogues and Soul Hunters.
