YouTube has quietly gone with their new high definition(HD) in their videos without requirement of any URL hacks.
From now, if you have uploaded videos which are wider than 720 pixels, you will have an option to “watch in HD” and also “watch in high quality” option appears.
Apart from the new addititon mentioned above, YouTube has upgraded their embed option to let users chose one of four different sizes, that is upto 640×505 pixels.
As of now there is still no option to embed the video in HD officially. Also worth noting is that there’s not yet an option to automatically have the HD version play, something which you could tweak in your account settings with the introduction of higher quality clips.
