Skype Extras

Posted on 14 January 2010

With Skype extras, you can add functionality to your bare bone installation. It is recommended to upgrade to Skype 3.0 or later version for Windows to use many of these functionalities.

Home surveillance:
Sign in to your Skype account from your home computer. Set the Skype client to auto accept all incoming calls and launch the web cam functionality. Now from any remote internet enabled location, dial in to your Skype account! You have live video feed of your home. Since you wouldn’t want any random person also to view your feed, switch off directory listing of your home surveilance Skype account.

Shared the whitboard:
While Skype lets you chat, talk and see the other person, after installing the “WhiteBoardMeeting” Skype extra, you can collaborate in a much more enhanced manner. This is a fully functional whiteboard where you can insert text and images and share with multiple people at the same time. You can even have multiple whiteboards. Get it at http://www.whiteboardmeeting.com/. In case you’re interested in a very simple whiteboard, try USeeToo at http://useetoo.com/blog
