Dev Version of Google Chrome users can look for an update that adds printing under Windows (accessible with a right-click), better animated GIFs, and “save as” functionality for Macs testing out their alpha-level builds.
Some of the highlights of the release with the full build string Google Chrome 3.0.191.3 are fixed animated gifs, printing under Windows, fixes for misbehaving proxy servers or enabling save as for the Mac version of Google Chrome.
But the noticeable addition in this web browser release is the adding -new-new-tab-page to Chrome’s launching shortcut.
The new tab page now includes links to recent activities which lists downloads and recently opened tabs but also a tips and suggestions section which has not been filled with content yet. It is now also possible to move the eight website thumbnails around and pin them in the tab so that they are always accessible there (which resembles Opera’s Speed Dial then). Previously the most visited pages where shown when a new tab was opened according to their hits.
